I have been in the IT business for approx 18 years. I received my degree in Information Science i.e. Business Analysis from the University of Nevada,Las Vegas.
I worked as a Series 7 licensed Securities Dealer while attending college. After graduation I became the Data Systems Manager for boutique brokerage chain in Beverly Hills that later became part of TD Waterhouse. It was my job to analyse business processes and write applications to automate those processes.
After the merger I moved back to Las Vegas and went to work for a local "paper" phone company, programming the billing and customer support software using FoxPro for DOS as well as providing network and hardware support.
In 1996 I co-founded Electronique Boutique, a company that provided upgrades and C+ developer kits/and APIs for the GEOS operating system.
When Window's became the industry standard, Electronic Boutique dissolved and I joined a startup graphics company CompressTech (no connection to the company currently operating under that name) as their WebMaster and a programmer of their graphic format conversion software using C++ and Java.
I was later hire by Enterprise Rent A Car as their Senior Software Engineer/Analyst for the Southern California division. I developed numerous desktop applications using FoxPro and Visual Basic to track personnel, traffic tickets, compliance, credit, and vehicle maintenance. I also did some scripting (JavaScript) on several of their websites.
After leaving Enterprise I spent 1998 thru 1999 writing desktop/client-server software using Visual Basic and C for Cadence Design Systems, Citizen's Business Bank and Union Bank.
In 1999 I became the lead analyst/developer for E-HQ, an ecommerce company building and operating operating several websites realnewsnetwork.com, erealbiz.com, optimumcare.com, millstrading.com and getvideo.com using PHP, MySQL, and SQL Server.
After the collapse of the dot-com industry 2003 - 2006 I worked for a company providing health care management software for Wells Fargo and other clients, using Visual FoxPro, VB.Net, and Delphi.
I also became part owner in a webhosting company (webhosthero.com) while simultaneously attending law school. I left my full time position to pursue my studies while continuing to provide hosting and consulting services to former E-HQ clients and CountryWide Home Loans using FoxPro, PHP, MySQL.
I graduated law school, passed the bar the first time and took on cases representing consumers and small business. I won an Appeal in an Employment Development Department case and helped many people receive benefits that they were initially denied.
While building my practice I continued to do engineering work for several internet businesses including, in 2010 - 2011, local.com for whom I developed a Web Api site using PHP and SQL Server.
I continue to take on both legal and technical assignments while pursuing a position as an Sr. Analyst/Team Lead or Project Manager where I can fully utilize my technical and analytical skills.
